Decision Associates-The Next Chapter

Trust. Service.

These two simple words have defined Decision Associates for over 35 years – and will continue to define this company for decades to come. We will continue to honor the trust our clients place in us by delivering our very best in return, whether that is advice on succession or strategic planning, assistance with executive recruiting or training and development, or helping you position your company to meet a changing marketplace.

For more than three decades, this firm has stood by businesses and assisted their leadership teams through some difficult moments. We respect that you have allowed us on your journey, and we stand ready to serve you in the months and years ahead.

I have been on a journey of my own. I have been with Decision Associates for almost four years, but my connection with the firm dates back to 1999. I was with Dana Corporation and we had hired Decision Associates to help us with our strategic plan. My relationship with Don Moore grew deeper through a leadership program he taught for Dana Corporation. Years later, when I was with the Erie Times-News, our paths reconnected for another strategic plan.

The journey continues in 2020. Don, Sue and I have practiced what we have helped hundreds of clients work on over the years. Don and Sue Moore have sold the business to my wife Valerie and me. Don will work for Decision Associates for three to four years at a slowly reducing schedule. Sue will also stay on for another year to help with the transition. Together, they will help the team and me in every way they can. Don will also continue to own Decision Associates M&A and work with companies who are contemplating selling their business or making a strategic acquisition.

I know what Decision Associates can bring to a company and I understand the trust that’s implied with that relationship. Trust is earned – but it is never permanent. It must be earned again and again through thoughtful guidance and superior service. Our fist 35 years have been built on that premise. It is a recipe that works, and it will continue to define Decision Associates in the years and decades ahead.
